How do I register my delegates and alternate delegates?
By now, all local unions should have reported their delegates and alternates for Credentialing. The Duplicate Credentials MUST be presented upon registration at the Convention, in person, by the individual delegate. Convention Registration will take place in Unity Hall the following dates and times.
Saturday, August 10: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, August 11: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Monday, August 12: 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
Tuesday, August 13: 7:00 a.m. – 8:15 a.m.
Questions about delegates and alternates, obtaining credentials and registering for the Convention can be directed to email@example.com.
The UFCW Local Union Offices have been provided information about housing, travel and the delegate information survey. The deadline to complete the delegate survey and to make hotel reservations is Monday, July 15, 2013. ONLY DELEGATE TRAVEL WILL BE BILLED TO THE INTERNATIONAL.
Questions about Hotel Reservations and delegate surveys can be directed to the Convention Housing and Registration office at: 1-888-278-9886.
To make air reservations, go to www.metropolitantravel.com/ufcwchicago. Download the form for each person traveling. (You can complete this form online, or it can be faxed or scanned and e-mailed.) Deadline: July 12, 2013. As soon as the itinerary is done, Metropolitan Travel Services will e-mail your itineraries to you for approval and final booking.
NOTE: UFCW Canada Delegates should contact the UFCW Canada National Office to make travel arrangements.
Will there be delegate education programs?
Yes. Workshops geared for Local Union elected officials will be offered on the weekend (August 10-11). Numerous workshops are planned for delegates on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday (August 12, 14, 15). The full list of programs can be found here.
How Do Delegates Submit Photos, and Why?
Photos of your delegates will be used to assist their security access to the Convention floor. We need their photos to expedite on-site registration in Unity Hall at the McCormick Convention Center West. Only registered delegates will have picture badges. Questions about downloading photos may be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org . If delegates would like to submit their photo online, they may upload them here.
How Will Delegates, alternates, and guests get to and from their hotels to the Convention Center?
Complimentary Shuttle Bus Services will be available between the designated UFCW Convention Hotels and McCormick Place Convention Center West beginning Saturday, August 10 to Friday, August 16, 2013. Please reference the posted time schedule in the “About” section of this web site. The Shuttle Bus Schedule will also be posted in the lobby of each UFCW Convention Hotel.
